Hurricane Risk Interactive Map

June 1, marks the official start of the Atlantic hurricane season. Scientists at Colorado State University have used almost 150 years of NOAA Hurricane data and 50 years of climatological data, to predict hurricane probability for this year, 2022.

Using this data — which predicts the probability of a named storm passing within 50 miles along the Atlantic coast — Currently produced a map that reflects the risk of a named storm making landfall in 2022, by region.

Our Hurricane Risk Map includes data for each state, county, and parish along the Gulf and East Coasts, tropical cyclone-prone provinces of Canada, Atlantic-facing states of coastal Mexico, islands in the Caribbean, and countries in Central America.
